Philadelphia Rotarian Joan Batory (at left above) was one of the key organizers of a very successful Community Peace Forum sponsored by Rotary District 7430 and Rotary District 7450 at Montgomery County Community College on October 31.

The two hour panel discussion focused on relationships between police and communities and included two college professors (Temple U’s Jennifer Wood and Montgomery County CC’s Jayden Sampson), a Philadelphia Police lieutenant (D F Pace) and a Baptist minister (Reverend Keith Hodges) in a two hour forum.

The program culminated with an eloquent and “on-point” keynote address by Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey (at right above), one of the top experts in the nation on this topic, who received several standing ovations from the packed audience in attendance.
